This poster by Gerber Brothers, a Seattle ski shop, is based on an iconic photograph of Dick Durrance taken by Dave Bradley near the Ball Hut on the south island of New Zealand in the summer of 1937. Durrance's dynamic stance suggests the speed and control that made him the dominant American racer in the 1930's.
